2. How We Use Your Information
- To register and authenticate your account via OTP
- To create, confirm, and manage ground bookings
- To process wallet credits, refunds, and payouts to ground owners
- To send push notifications for bookings, cancellations, and alerts
- To show you sports grounds nearest to your location
- To allow ground owners to manage their grounds and view booking details
- To improve app performance and fix technical issues
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
3. Location Data
Turf Dost requests access to your device's location only while the app is in use (foreground permission). We use location data exclusively to:
- Calculate approximate distance between you and nearby grounds
- Sort grounds by proximity on the home screen
- Auto-detect your city for a personalized ground listing
We do not collect location data in the background, track your movements, or share location data with third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information only in these cases:
- Ground Owners: When you make a booking, the ground owner sees your name, phone number, booking time, and payment reference to confirm your slot.
- Firebase / Google: We use Firebase for push notifications. Firebase processes device tokens in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government authority.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Booking records are retained for accounting and dispute resolution. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
6. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are not stored — we use OTP-based authentication only. Wallet and booking data is stored in a secured database accessible only to authorized personnel. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
Turf Dost is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Third-Party Services
Turf Dost uses the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — Push notifications and analytics
- Google Maps — Directions links for ground locations
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — Geocoding city names to coordinates (no personal data sent)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
